WHEN DO WE PRACTICE


Cycling Development trains multiple high school teams together at each practice.  The practices are broken up by the riders ability level.  We train everyone from the new mountain biker to the expert racer.  As riders progress they are encouraged to move up as their skill level increases. The Cycling Development high school signups start each year in September. Our first practice is in the middle of October and the latest a rider can join the team is January 1st.  


From October to December we only have practice once a week on Saturdays from 9 am to noon.

Starting in December we move to our normal practice schedule that runs until the end of April.

We practice 4 times a week.  

Mondays - Night ride from 6-8 pm.

Wednesdays- Spin class from 7-8:30 pm

Fridays- Ride from 4:15-6:15 pm

Saturdays- 9 am to noon.


WHERE Do WE PRACTICE


The majority of our practices during the week are in Granite Bay State Park..  We ride trails like Granite Bay, Lake Natoma and Browns Ravine.  Our weekend practices are the ones where we will venture out a little farther and do rides like Auburn, Salmon Falls, Cronin Ranch, Olmsted Loop, Hidden Falls and Sly Park.


HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE


The majority of our communication comes through text messages.  These are not two way text messages like you are used to, these are one way to give you team updates, practice times and locations and anything else we need to get out to the team.  It is highly recommended that ALL (Mom, Dad and Athlete) sign up for the text blast.  This is how we communicate with the parents too.  Signing up is very simple to do.  From your phone send a text message to (925) 231-8450 with the following message @cyclingdev. If you did it right you will get a text back right away saying you signed up.
